Clinical Activity: His clinical activity has always been coupled with intense research activity, with more than 90 papers, about immunosuppressive protocols and surgical techniques for organ transplantation, cell-transplantation, liver regeneration and inflammatory bowel diseases. It is organized into 3 issues: the first two were oriented to basic training which included also the acquisition of operating techniques and instrumental borrowed from other subject areas in both in both transplant that abdominal surgery. The third field is dedicated to surgical experimental procedure in pigs: liver resection and partial liver transplantations.
Research Activity: Italian Minister of Health Research Grant Recipient – $552,624.00 grant awarded to select young primary Investigator to conduct a prospective, double-blinded, randomized phase 2 study of 2 parallel groups designed to evaluate the clinical benefits of simvastatin administration immediately after liver procurement versus a standard procedure.
